MEYER, Julitta F. nee WENTHOLD 1914 - 2001

WAUCOMA - Julitta F. Meyer, 86, a resident of the Anamosa Care Center, formerly of Waucoma and Springville, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001 at the Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa, following a long illness.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct, 16 at St; Isidore Catholic Church, Springville with Rev. John Gossman presiding. Music was provided by the St. Isidore Church Choir.

Burial was in Springville Cemetery with Bob Zander, Carl Clore, Keith Shaffer, Jason Shaffer, Stephanie Clore and Luke Shaffer as honorary bearers.

Julitta was born Nov. 2, 1914, the daughter of John and Anna Busch Wenthold, in Festina. On Nov. 14, 1939, she married Aloysius E. Meyer in Festina. Julitta was a homemaker and she farmed with her husband for 41 years. The Meyers lived near Waucoma from the 1940's until they moved to Springville in 1979 when they retired from farming.

Survivors include her husband, Al; her daughter, Mary (Bob) Zander, Marion; a sister, Ruth (Arnold) Bodensteiner, Lawler; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Mathilda Kleve and Mary Kleve and five brothers, Albert, Felix, Leo, Aloys and Herbert Wenthold.
