TECHNY, IL- Sister Lucilda, Johanna May, 91 died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001 Hall at the Convent Holy Spirit, Techny, IL.

Interment was in St. Maiy's Cemetery, Techny, IL.

Visitation and Wake Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m.

Sister Lucilda was born in Alsace, Lorraine and later moved to Germany. After completing her elementary education, she worked in an orphanage for several years before joining the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters at the Motherhouse in Steyl, Holland. Shortly after her first Religious Profession on Dec. 8, 1936, she traveled to the U.S. with five other Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters. After several years of further studies in Techny, IL, Sister Lucilda began to serve as accountant ana later as business manager in hospitals and nursing homes in Illinois, Maryland and Iowa. Sister served at St. Joseph Hospital, New Hampton from 1970 until Feb., 1981 In recent years Sister Lucilda has lived in retirement in Maria Hall at the Convent of the Holy Spirit, Techny, IL.

Survivors include one sister, Maria Eiden and several nieces and nephews in Germany.
