KLEIN, Frances Grace nee BONEFAS 1930 - 2001

Frances Grace Klein, age 71, of Riceville passed way at ler residence on Friday, Dec. 14, 2001 of cancer. A Mass of he Resurrection was held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville on Monday, Dec. 17, with Rev. Ray E. Atwood officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville.

Frances was born on May 24, 1930 in Jesup, Iowa, the third child of Mathias and Teresa (Wingert) Bonefas. She attended local schools and completed one year of college.

On November 16, 1949 she was united in marriage to Wayne Klein in Jesup, Iowa.

After raising nine children, she worked at the Riceville Rest Home for 20 years, retiring in 1992. She was active in the Catholic Rosary Society and very dedicated to her faith. She was a member of the Farmerette’s Club, created many beautiful quilts and crafts for friends and family alike, was a Girl Scout leader, and a religion teacher and loved to dance.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne of Riceville; five sons, Michael and his wife Dawn of Elma, Iowa, Mark and his wife Tracy of Riceville, Joel of Riceville, Jeffrey and his wife Paula of New Haven, Iowa Jan and his wife Pam of Lanander, Tex.; four daughters, Marianne and her husband Russell Kozak of New London, Iowa, Jeanne Klein and Jerry Cummings of Mclntire, Iowa, Judith and her husband Terry Green of Mason City, Iowa, and Michelle and her husband Tommy Cummings of Mclntire. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one brother, William and his wife Maryanne of Houston, Tex.; and a sister, Alice and her husband Joseph, also of Houston.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren, Gregory and Jessie Klein, and two brothers, Robert and Leo Bonefas.
