IRVINE, Justin L. 1983 - 2001

Funeral services for Justin Irvine of Easton, KS were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4 at the Pleasant Ridge High School. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Easton. Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapels handled the arrangements.

Justin, 18, died Sunday, December 30, 2001 at the Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, MO after a long battle with Leukemia.

Justin L. Irvine was born November 18, 1983 in Fort Wain-wright, AK, the son of Jeffery L. and Linda L. (Herold) Irvine. Justin was a senior at Pleasant Ridge High School in Easton. He was the class Treasurer throughout his high school years. For two years he had been the President of the Pleasant Ridge Future Business Leaders of America. He placed first in the nation this past year for his annual report for FBLA and was awarded in Walt Disney World Florida. He was a member of the National Honor with a 4.0 GPA. He had received a varsity letter at Pleasant Ridge in football, track, and wrestling. He was the honorary captain of the football team. He was the 2001 Pleasant Ridge Homecoming king and had. been the school citizenship award winner since the eighth grade.

Justin enjoyed being a.hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Saint Joseph of the Valley Catholic Church, Easton.

He is survived by his parents Jeffrey and Linda Irvine; one brother: Jeremy L. of Warrensburg, MO; one sister: Lindsey L. at home; grandparents: Phil and Janice Irvine of Stanley; grandmother: Leona Herold of Cresco;' great-grandparents: Harold and Dorothy Irvine of Oelwein; and greatgrandmother: Maxine Hausman of Independence.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather: George Herold.
