NEW HAMPTON - Thelma A. Haus, 94, New Hampton, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at the New Hampton Care Center of natural causes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Carl ^Schmitt celebrating the mass',- The pall will be placed on the casket by her three children. Lector for the service will be her son Daniel Haus. Gift bearers will be Barbara Meister and Trudy Randall.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Hampton with grandchildren ana greatgrandchildren as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 at Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton where there will be a 4 p.m. Rosary and a 6:30 p.m. Scripture Service. Further visitation is an hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Thelma was born on Feb. 3, 1907 in North Washington, the daughter of Theodore and Susan (Ries) Bach. She attended St. Mary's Grade and High School in North Washington, graduating in 1925. On Aug. 23, 1927 she married Edward Haus at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, North Washington. The couple initially lived southwest of North Washington for a few years before moving north of town on a farm where they lived until 1940 at which time they moved into North Washington. During the years the family lived around North Washington, Thelma was the organist for the church there.

In 1951, the family moved to Union, where Edward had a job at the local elevator.*In 1971 Edward and Thelma moved to New Hampton. Thelma became a resident of the New Hampton Care Center in 1992. Memberships include St. Joseph Catholic Church and Rosary Society.

Survivors include one son, Daniel (Marilyn), St. Louis, MO; two daughters, Theresa McAloon, Garner and Mary (Clair) Randall, West Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, George Lentz, New Hampton.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Edward, in 1991; one daughter, Annette Rapp; three sisters, Martha Ungs, Dora Lentz and one in infancy and three grandsons, Mike McAloon, Daniel and David Haus.
