GOODWIN, Eva V. nee ATTLESON 1915 - 2001

RENTON, WA - Eva V. Goodwin, 85, Renton, WA and formerly of New Hampton, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001 in Scottsdale, AZ .

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29 at the Leisure Estates Club House in Renton.

Eva V. Attleson was born in New Hampton on Oct. 27, 1915, the daughter of Ed E. and Ettie A. (Clapper) Attleson. She moved with her family to Anoka,- MN as a young girl. After graduating from high school in Anoka, she attended college in Minneapolis. She married Charles A. Goodwin. The couple moved to Seattle, WA in 1936, and moved to Renton in 1945 where they have since resided.

Eva worked for the Boeing Company in Seattle for 25 years as secretary to the Treasurer of Boeing. She was a Certified Professional Secretary and taught Adult Education (Business Etiquette and Skills). She taught Sunday School at the old Methodist Church in Renton, was active in P.T.A. and was a Brownie leader for her daughters. Eva and her daughter, Patricia co-owned The Holiday Shoppe at Gilman Village in Issaquah, WA. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and was a volunteer and lifetime member of the Renton Historical Society.

Surviving are her husband, Charles; two daughters, Patricia (Richard) Sell and Joyce (John) Peterson, three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to The American Lung Association or The Renton Historical Society.
