Linda Wilhelmina Kubalsky, 105Funeral services for Linda Kubalsky of Owatonna, MN will be held today Wednesday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Owatonna. The Rev. David R. Cloeter will officiate. Interment will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Annandale, MN. Michaels on Funeral Home will handle the arrangements. Linda, 105, died Saturday, March 18, 2000 at Cedarview Nursing Home in Owatonna. Linda Wilhelmina Kubalsky was born October 25. 1894 on her parent’s farm in Albion township, Maple Lake, MN, the daughter of Carl and Minnie (Kammann) Strohschein. She attended rural schools. Linda had been a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was baptized and later confirmed in April 1908. On May 6,1914 she married Karl Kubalsky at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Annandale, MN. Following their marriage the couple moved to a farm in rural Wright County near Buffalo. The couple fanned for many years. She had been employed at the Buffalo Hospital for 17 years before retiring at age 78. Following the death of her husband, Linda continued to live on the farm, before moving to Buffalo in 1957. She lived there until the early 1970’s when she moved to Mound, MN. In 1982 Linda moved to Owatonna where she resided at the Cedar Place Residence, living there until moving to Cedarview Nursing Home over three years ago. She belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo where she was a member of the Ladies Aide. Linda was an excellent seamstress, and also enjoyed cooking and baking. Survivors include one daughter Fern Fruehling of Cedar Rapids; three sons: Arnold of Cresco, Edgar of Medford, MN, and Charles of Faribault, MN; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother: Alfred of Mora, MN; and one sister: Lydia Peterson of Arlington, TX. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Karl on January 27, 1955; one son: Immanuel; her parents; six brothers; and three sisters.
