Ramona F. Kobliska, 69WAVERLY- Ramona F. Kobliska, 69, died at her home on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000 from complications following a kidney transplant. Puneral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waverly, with Rev. Mike Tauke officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Waverly. , Visitation will be from 3-to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24 and one hour before services on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, where there will also be a 7 p.m. Scripture Service on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Ramona was born on Feb. 23, 1931 in Red Wing, MN, the daughter of Joseph L. and Frances I. (Koch) Poncelet. She began her schooling in Bellechester and later attended the Bethlehem Academy in Faribaulf, MN, where she graduated from high school in 1948. Ramona then helped her father as a bookkeeper for his business, B & P Silo Company. On Nov. 24, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert Kobliska in New Hampton. The couple moved to Waterloo, and in 1962 moved to their farm north of Waverly. The couple was later divorced. In the late 1970's, Ramona began working for the U.S. Post Office as a Rural Letter Carrier, a position she held until retiring in 1994. Ramona was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waverly. She loved to travel, haying visited many countries abroad as well as many states in America. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include her seven children, Gregory (Kathleen) Kobliska, Aurora, IL; David Kobliska, Waukesha, WI; Peg Kobliska, Waverly; Nancy (Patrick) Hatfield, Bozeman, MT; Mary (John) Magee, Los Altos, CA; Annette Kobliska, Des Moines; Joe (Mary) Kobliska, Waverly; 12 grandchildren, one greatgrandchild; two sisters, Jeanette Poncelet, Ft. Wayne, IN and Kaye Poncelet, Sarasota, FL and one brother, Jerry Poncelet, New Hampton. Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Robert Poncelet. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
