Alois A. Klinner, 94WAUCOMA - Alois A. Klinner died Saturday, Feb. 19. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 22 at St. Mary’s. Catholic Church, Waucoma, with Father Raphael Ludwig presiding. Concelebrating were Father Vincent Simon and Father George Karnik. Music was provided by St. Mary's Choir, with Janet Schmitt as soloist and Jeanne Riha as organist. Lector was Pat Bouska. Gift bearers were Chris Bouska, Erin Golly, Sally, Tessa, April and Greg Lynch. Agatha Burke was Eucharistic Minister and Mike Hoey, Scott and Sarah Bouska were mass servers and cross bearer. Interment was in St. Rose Cemetery, Waucoma, with Robert Leo Smith, Jack McKone, Irvin Throndson, Clarence Throndson, Gary Decker and Jean Ott as pallbearers. Visitation was held Monday, Feb. 21 at the Waucoma Funeral Chapel. Alois Andrew Klinner was born July 25, 1905, the son of August and Anna Klinner. He grew up in Quincy, IL helping in his family's truck gardening business. Due to a virus, ne lost most of his hearing at age seven and attended the Illinois School for the Deaf. Alois and his wife, Olivette were married Oct. 25, 1941. They lived north of Lawler until 1967 when they moved to New Hampton. He worked at the B&P Silo Company until retiring. The couple moved to Waucoma m 1984. Alois enjoyed gardening, woodworking, baking and watching Cubs baseball. Surviving are his wife, Olivette; a daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Gary Lynch; six grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Martha Klinner and Mrs. Marie Klinner, Quincy, IL; nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Roman, Joe, Herman, Bill, Barney, John, Flenry and Frank; sisters, Arina and Louise.
