Frances Gertrude Jacobsen, 83Services were held Wednesday, March 29,2000, at the LeRoy Lutheran Church for Frances Gertrude Jacobsen, 83, former LeRoy area resident who died Friday at Cedar Court Apartments in Adams. Rev. Thomas Kolden and Rev. Russell Jacobsen officiated at the 1:30 p.m. services. Interment was in the church cemetery at LeRoy. Frances G. Way was born Oct. 30, 1914 in Lohrville, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1932 and was united in marriage to Einar Bernard Jacobsen Sept. 1, 1933 at Northwood, Iowa. She was a farm wife and homemaker and was a member of LeRoy Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and playing board games with her grandchildren. Survivors include four sons, Russell (Beverly) Jacobsen, Plum City, Wise.; Vern (Phyllis) Jacobsen, Prescott, Wisc.; LaVerne (Anne), Owatonna, Minn, and Robert (Judy) of LeRoy. Also 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret, Rochester, and brother, Melvin, Albert Lea. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, who died in September of 1983, and a grandson, Mark. Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home, LeRoy, was in charge of arrangements.
