Funeral services for Robert Holmes were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 11 at the Rockwell Baptist Church in Rockwell. Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. Conway Funeral Home in Cresco was in charge of arrangements.

Robert died Thursday, November 9, 2000 at North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City.

Robert Louis Holmes was bo in Clear Lake on April 13, 1927, the son of Louis and Grace (Griffith) Holmes. Robert served his country during the Korean Conflict.

On November 20, 1959 he married Karen Wooldridge.

He is survived by two sons, Randy of Apple Valley, MN and Rick of Cresco; three daughters, Rhonda Dean of Stuart, Roxanne Holmes of Rockwell, and Roberta Holmes of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents. "
