Funeral services for Olena Hendrickson will be held at 2:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in LeRoy, MN, with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Interment will be in the LeRoy Lutheran Cemetery.

Olena, 103, died Saturday, August 19, 2000 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco where she had resided since 1995. She was formerly of LeRoy.

Olena Bertina Hendrickson was born in Lodi Township, Mower County, the daughter of Ole and Anna (Hatleberg) Void. She attended and graduated from LeRoy High School in 1916 and received her normal training in Austin, MN in 1917. She then taught in the LeRoy area. In 1925 she graduated from the Kahler School of Nursing and worked as a nurse in Rochester and also in California.

On January 30, 1950 she married Herman R. Hendrickson.

She is survived by one sister, Adah Grube of Cresco.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hermari; her parents; and sisters Johanna Davies, Jene Void, Peg Void and Geneva Void.

Friends may call at the Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home in LeRoy from 12:00 noon till time of service today.
