Kenneth P. Gilgenbach, 60Services were held Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams for Kenneth P. Gilgenbach, 60, Adams area farmer who died Friday, March 10, 2000 of Tnjuries suffered in an auto accident in Lodi Township, Mower County. The Rev. Fr. Gregory Leif officiated at the 11 a.m. services. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Gilgenbach was born Jan. 13, 1940 in Taopi. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Adams and graduated from Adams High School in 1958. He married Barbara Ulwelling at St. John's Catholic Church in Johnsburg and they farmed in the Adams area. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and served on the church council. He was also a member of the Cattlemen's Association and Knights of Columbus, was an honorary member of American Legion Post 145, served as Lodi Township treasurer for 15 years, and was serviing as Adams Township treasurer at his death. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau Board of Directors anc} was involved in the mentorship program. His interests included flying and he held a private pilot's license. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Jane. (Mrs. Alan) Steinkamp and Karen (Mrs. Shawn) Ruechel, both of Adams, and Theresa (Mrs. Michael) O'Connor, Elkton; two sons, Mark, Adams, and Ronald, Taopi; 13 grandchildren; his parents, Francis and Isabelle (Retterath) Gilgenbach, Adams; two sisters, Jeanette (Mrs. Gene) Smith, Adams, and Bernice (Mrs,Allen) Huseby, Rochester, and a brother, David, Elk River, Minn. Adams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
