Sold Out

John H. Lee, who has been engaged in the furniture business at Jewell during the past two or three years, has sold his stock and business to R. J. Stark, of Stanhope. Mr. Lee has not yet fully decided as to his future movements in a business way, or whether he will return to Webster City or not. He gives possession of the Jewell stock as soon as the invoice is completed, after which he will investigate the feasibility of locating at some points he now has in view. Whatever the decision may be, the numerous friends of Mr. and Mrs. Lee in Webster City will wish them well in the future.

Neighborhood Notes.

Marion Township- All farmers are busy now. A.D. Bruner is on the sick list. M. S. Maulsby, of Fonda, is running the barber shop. Miss Jennie Oslund returned from Webster City Saturday for a short visit with her parents. The Lutheran church was crowded Sunday, the annual confirmation being the attraction. O.T. Peterson is going to start his steam swing after another week or two. Elick Peterson is not going to shoot at the ducks any more this spring, but will steady down to his watch tinkering again.

Freedom Township- William Henry lost a valuable horse one day last week. John Dressler and daughter and grandchild, of Kansas, are visiting with his sister, Mrs. J.P. Dale. Rev. T.E. Carter, of Sioux City, was to have preached at Mt. Zion church last Sunday afternoon; quite a congregation gathered there, but the Rev. failed to put in his appearance. We understand that he was working for the benefit of a college at Sioux City. If the weather stays good farmers will finish sowing small grain this week, and some have already commenced to plow for corn and one farmer thinks he will plant this week.
