Reinicker, Iowa - A Hamilton County Settlement

Reinicker - This never was a real settlement, and it never had a post
office. It did appear on maps dated in 1890 and also in a 1910 atlas.
This was actually a siding on the Illinois Central Railroad, where
livestock and grain were loaded. Occasionally a settler would disembark
here, too.
Edmund Seiser, of Webster City, related to me that when he came to the
area on the train, he shipped his furniture on the train and took it off
at Reinicker, the only stop between Blairsburg and Webster City.
Prior to 1896 the siding, established by the railroad on George H.
Reinicker's land, was named Druid Siding. After 1896 the name was
changed to Reinicker. Present day Stonega is located about a mile west
on the railroad tracks.
