Charles Noska of Solon Killed in Action in France
Solon, Nov 13 - Sad news announcing the death of their son, Charles,
was received by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Noska, who live four
miles north of Solon, yesterday afternoon. The heartbreaking message
was very brief and written on Charles' identification card as follows:
"Killed in action, Oct. 8th" Besides his parents he leaves five
brothers, Wesley, Tony and Leo, all at home; John, of South Dakota, and
Frank, of Center Point; and five sisters, Elizabeth Frances, at home;
Mrs. John Selba, of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Clarence Andrew, of
Mechanicsville; and Mrs. Otto Shulty, whose husband is in France.
