Brought Comrade From New York
Leo Furlong, whose home is at Parnell, came in last Sunday morning
on a short furlough. He brought the body of Fred Dvorsky, one of his
own company, back to Iowa City for burial. Just as these two young men
were ready to board the ship for France, both took sick with influenza.
They were taken to the hospital where young Dvorsky died. Mr. Furlong
returned to New York Monday night to report for duty.
