REGISTRATION DAY

All Men Between 18 and 46 Registering

Yesterday was registration day when men between the ages of 18 and 46 were ordered to register. In LeMars flags were flying to mark the day and in the afternoon a number of offices and stores were closed. About half past four the LeMars band turned out and began playing patriotic airs.

It is anticipated that the registration in the county will be heavier than was first expected as demands for registration cards were in from several precincts. It is expected over 500 within the prescribed ages will register in LeMars.

At five o'clock 171 had registered in the First ward, 107 in the Second ward and 168 in the Third ward.
