say that during the period of war, there was agitation among the
people of my home town, namely Guttenberg, Clayton County, Iowa,
to change the name from Guttenberg to Prairie La Porte.
That I make this affidavit as a showing and explanation where the
difference in names may appear, for the purpose of showing that
Guttenberg, Clayton County, Iowa, and Prairie La Porte, Clayton
County, Iowa, is one and the same town, and further affiant saith
not.
