|
MARRIED. |
April 4th, a very pretty wedding took place at 12 o'clock at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kerr, in Illyria township, Fayette
county, when their daughter, Lulu A. Kerr, was united in marriage to
Charles E. Rothlisberger, in the presence of a large number of
relatives. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Roy V. Porter, pastor
of the Methodist Episcopal church. The bride was charmingly attired
in a gown of white, while the groom wore the conventional black.
The bridesmaids, Lydia Kerr and Amy Richards, were gowned in
pink and white. Wm. Kerr acted as usher while Walter Rothlisberger
was best man.
After the ceremony, congratulations were
extended to the young couple and all were then invited into the
dining room where was spread a bounteous dinner, such as anyone
would like to partake of. The afternoon was pleasantly spent in
visiting and having a good time in general.
The happy young
couple were the recipients of a large number of very pretty and
useful presents.
The bride is both charming and attractive
and her loveable disposition has made her many friends. Her
occupation has been that of a school teacher for the past four
years.
The groom is an energetic and prosperous young man,
possessing excellent traits of character , which have won him
success. They will go to housekeeping on the farm recently purchased
by the groom's father. |
