Rafferty & Wells |
|
MARRIED. |
In St. Peter's Catholic church Thursday morning , Sept. 6, at -
o'clock, occurred the marriage of Miss Fay Wells, aged 18, to Mr.
Job Rafferty aged 72, both residence of this city. Rev. Father M.J.
Farelly preformed the ceremony and tied the knot so tight that now
even Cupid wears that "smile that wont come off."
When it was
first noised about that Cupid was stirring up an infatuation between
this now happy couple, much interest was aroused in the romance.
Some doubted others made prophesies while some cried impossible, but
Miss Fay is now Mrs. John Rafferty, and while there is a difference
in age, that true, ever devoted and long enduring love will easily
bridge over the difference.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Wells of this place, who have resided in Clermont for a
number of years. She possesses a personal magnetism that
has drawn to her many friends, who join with us in wishing her much
happiness in her new relationship and responsibilities.
Mr.
Rafferty has lived in this vicinity for over 40 years and has
accumulated a goodly share of this world's goods; is a man of strict
integrity and universally respected in the community, and although
fairly along in years, this is his first matrimonial venture,
and his many friends wish him many years yet in which to enjoy the
companionship of his young wife |
