WEGMILLER - GRIMES |
|
Wednesday, February 28, 19006, at high noon, Rev. E.H. Gillet, of
Cherokee officiating, occurred the marriage of Miss Emma Wegmiller
to Lindsay A. Grimes. The wedding was a private one, no one
besides the relatives and intimate friends being present. After the
ceremony congratulations and best wishes were bestowed upon the
young couple, all then were seated in the dinning room where a well
ordered wedding dinner was served, and a pleasant hour spent in
social conversation.
Miss Wegmiller is well known to all
Elgin people and she has many traits of character which will make
her a model wife for the man of her choice. Her many friends here
will wish her much happiness and joy as she assumes her new station
in life.
Mr. Grimes is also quite well known here, he having
for years lived but a few miles from town, on a farm. During his
visits here he has made many friends who will congratulate him on
securing Miss Wegmiller for a life's companion.
Mr. and Mrs.
Grimes will immediately go to housekeeping in West Union where his
home has already been furnished. |
