| Dubuque, Iowa, June 8. --- At 11 o'clock
tonight word comes that a mob at Waverly is attacking the jail with
crowbars, picks, and all kinds of weapons trying to effect an
entrance. If the mob gets hold of the Barber brothers they will be
strung up at short notice. LATER.
Dubuque, Iowa, June 9. --- The Herald's special says the
mob took the Barbers from the jail at 11:30 P. M. and hanged them to
a tree. The murderers never flinched. |
