D.A.R. MET HERE
Waucoma Chapter Entertained at the Home of Miss
Blythe Parker.
The Waucoma chapter of the D.A.R. was entertained
on their regular meeting dya, Thu8rsday, July 2tyth, at the home of
Miss Blythe Parker. At 1 o'clock a delicious two-course luncheon was
served by the Fayette members, at which time each guests was
presented a flower bouquet of pansies. the rooms were trastefully
decorated with garden flowers. Gladioli and sweet peas from the
garden of Mrs. Arlie Bray were especially beautiful.
Miss Janette Bender was the leader of the
Patriotic Program for the day.
Members from Waucoma, Alpha, and Hawkeye were
present. Guests of the Chapter were Mrs. Winifred Hall, Pueblo,
Colo.; Mrs. Lulu Brown, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mrs. Opal Hall, Alpha, Mrs.
Bess Parker, Mrs. Allie Stone, and Mrs. Sarah Parker, Fayette.
The Fayette members of the Waucoma Chapter are
Mesdames Juliette Bender, Helen [A.J.] Fox, Arlie Bray, and Misses
Jeanette Bender, Elizabeth Stone, Blythe Parker.

A. J. Fox went to Waterloo on business
Friday.
Mrs. A. J. Fox was hostess at a one o'clock
luncheon on Friday complimentary to Mrs. F. L. Ashby of Long Beach,
Calif., and Miss Kate Proctor. Following a delicious luncheon the
afternoon was devoted to bridge and games, prizes being won by Mrs.
Will Sinnott and Mrs. J. W. Orr. A gift was presented to Mrs. Ashby.
Those present from out of town were Mrs. F. L. Ashby of Long Beach,
Mrs. E. C. Fussell of Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. A. O. Tiffany, Mrs. F.
W. Wilder, Mrs. Ray Wilder of Oelwein and Mrs. T. W. Sinnott of
Hazleton.

attended the W.C.T.U. county convention at West
Union Tuesday were: Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Hunt and Martha Hunt, Mrs.
F. J. Ressler, Mrs. J. H. Buhlman, Mrs. Charlotte Fox, Mrs. F. E.
Sanders, Mrs. C. W. Older, and Mrs. C. F. Schell. Messrs. Older and
Ressler and Miss Welma Older attended the evening session.
