COUNTY FARM BUREAU PICNIC AT WEST
UNION
The directors of the Fayette county Farm
Bureau decided Saturday night in the regular monthly meeting to
accept the invitation given by the West Union Business Men’s Club to
hold the annual Farm Bureau picnic at the place. Four county picnics
have been held, the first three in Fayette and last year in Oelwein.
The one big county picnic was inaugurated to take the place of so
many smaller township picnics and so far they have been very
successful. No date has as yet been set for this year’s get together
but it will be some time close to June 20th.
After considerable discussion by the board it
was voted unanimously to again have floats and a parade. In making
this decision the board felt that the parade added much to the day’s
program and picnic in general. W. L. Peters, P. O. Stewart and G. D.
Grimes were appointed as a general committee in charge of the
picnic.
