Miss Clara B. Comstock, who
brought the New York children here to be distributed among
thepeople of this section, has personally visited each
home where the children were placed and is well pleased
with the homes and re[orts the children thus far happy and
contented. She made only one change, that of Arthur Clark,
aged five, who now has a home with Mr. and Mrs. O.W.
Stevenson in town. Little Arthur seems happy and
contented. She expects to return with children for
parties who have applied for them, and may apply to the
local committee. Thursday morning Donald Buckley, a lad
about seventeen years old, arrived from New York and
through Miss Comstock's influence, secured a place to work
on the farm of Clarence Welsh. Miss Comstock left
town Thursday evening, very favorably impressed with our
town, school, and people.
