Honor Lorraine Link at Recent Showers
Miss Lorraine Link, who will become the bride of Richard Shireman on
May 2, was the guest of honor at a kitchen shower given by Miss
Margaret Laird, 2055 Schiller Avenue. Cards were played and prizes
were awarded to Miss Mary Bremer, Miss Margaret Schlucter, Miss
Eunice Winter, and Miss Link.
Later in the evening a buffet luncheon was served to
the prize winners and the Miss Marijane Gruber, Miss Mary McFarland,
Miss Rita Mae Kramer, Miss Dorothea Jecklin, Miss Betty Davis, Miss
Helen Flynn, Miss Marion Schumacher, and Miss Kathleen Tully.
Another shower in honor of the bride elect was given
by her sister. Miss Marian Link, at 2344 White Street. Prizes were
awarded to Mrs. Albert Matz, Mrs. Loretta Erwin, Mrs. Otto Steger,
Mrs. Gen Flyen and Mrs. John Bornhauser.
A buffet luncheon was served to the prizewinners and
Mrs. Ed Link, Mrs. Ambrose Hird, Mrs. Herbert Juergens, Mrs. Ed
Whitfield, Miss Annette Riley, Mrs. Arthur Duggan, Mrs. Ivan Thein,
Mrs. Henry Oswald, Mrs. John Becker, Mrs. Lawrence Schroeder, Mrs.
John McFarland, Sr., Mrs. Dick Walty, and Miss Louse Ferguson.
Unable to be present were Mrs. Clifford Avery, Mrs. Ed Winter and
Mrs. T. Shireman.
The bride to be was presented with a set of dishes. |
