The members of Tripolis Commandery Knights Templars and their ladies enjoyed a magnificent banquet at Hotel Leon last Friday evening following the conferring of the Red Cross degree on a class composed of JUDGE R.L. PARRISH, R.D. MARTIN, C.M. KETCHAM, J.A. HARRIS and I.N. CLARK, of Leon, and H.A. SMITH, of Maloy.

The ladies had gathered at the hotel parlors while the Knights were at the lodge room, and spent the time very pleasantly with music and games until they arrived. The banquet was served at 11 o'clock, and it was without question the finest banquet ever served in this city, Landlord BROWN and his estimable wife being the recipients of many compliments for the excellent menu and the fine service on this occasion. Plates were laid for seventy guests, and the tables presented a beautiful sight decorated with carnations and ferns. The menu was not only elaborate but everything served was in correct form and the guests did full justice to the repast. The following was the

Blue Points, Sliced Lemon.
Pickles -- Olives -- Celery
Roast Turkey with Dressing.
Cold Boiled Ham.
Pickled Ox Tongue.
Waldorf Salad and Lettuce
Saratoga Potatoes.
Fruit Ice -- Luncheon Rolls
Neapolitan Ice Cream.
Maude S. and Pineapple Cake.
Oranges -- Apples -- White Grapes
Tea -- Coffee.

The out of town guests at the banquet were W.H. Sams, H.A. Smith, Maloy; Dr. J.B. Horner and wife, Lamoni, J.S. Shields and wife, Decatur, W.L. Severe and wife, J.N. Gates and wife, Carter Scott and wife, Clarence Frazier, Davis City; R. Shelden and wife, Kellerton.
