Emily Duffield Ehler wrote, "This [is the] personal record of my Grandfather, John C. Duffield. . . . As you can see he taught in several different schools in Decatur and Clarke counties (also in Oklahoma) in the early 1900’s. His family lived in Center Township in what is known as the Kobville area. His parents were Samuel and Sydney Kob Duffield. Sydney’s father was Lewis Kob, an elder of the Franklin Church of the Brethren. Descendants of Lewis and Anna Kob donated their land to the county for the Kobville County Park." |
