| West Elk (a.k.a. King) School No. 2 was located
in the southwest portion of Grand River Township, north Highway 2 and
west of Elk Chapel. In 1946 Irene Trower was the teacher of pupils Helen Cox, Frederic Trower, Norma Crozier, Virgil Epps, Paul Epps. Marilyn Epps, Janice Cox, and Helen Crozier. When the school closed it remained vacant for several years before it burned down. |
