The Davis City Advance, Davis City, Iowa Thursday, June 20, l90l On June l9th, l90l, JOSEPH THARP & SON, through their real estate agency, of Davis City, Iowa, pulled off the largest deal that has ever been made in the County, the deal amounting in all to about $46,000. J.B. SULLIVAN, of Humeston, Iowa, sold his fine grass and stock farm, 6 miles south of Davis City to J.C. KESHLEAR and wife for $6,000 and in exchange, MR. SULLIVAN took the KESHLEAR $l6,000 stock of goods, town residence at $2,500, and brick store building and lot at $2,500, and balance of nearly $5,000 in cash. In connection with this trade, the Real Estate firm of SHAW and MCKIBBEN, of Humeston, Iowa, assisted to have MR. SULLIVAN trade in exchange a farm of 278 acres near Humeston, at $l4,000 and MR. ELMER O. KINSEY, of Cambria, Iowa, gets the KESHLEAR & CO., property, residence and goods, in Davis City. The deals are all closed and MR. KINSEY has possession of stock.
