literary activities in connection with the school and school children.  Since its beginning, the various projects sponsored have benefitted all departments of the entire school.  Regular meetings are held.  The present offiers are Wayne Patterson, president; Fred Battles, vice-president; Mrs. Jack Cross, secretary and Mrs. Howard Bauman, treasurer.

          Some of the major projects include:  band uniforms, robes for vocal groups, twirler caps, basketball uniforms, warm-up jackets, junior high and high school football equipment, storm coats, music stands, filing cabinets, library shelving and annual contributions to the summer recreation program.  The club has sponsored several immunization projects, two Halloween parties, purchased a tape recorder, coffee makers, collars for music department, portable Hi-Fi set and a football scoreboard.  It also made a substantial donation to the school board towards the purchase of the new athletic field in 1955.
