MAN IS SLAIN AT ZOOK SPUR |

ZOOK SPUR -- J. D. Williams, 45, Negro, was shot and killed by his stepson, Gerald Bryson, Negro, at 1 a. m. today. Bryson, who is 19, was arrested immediately after the shooting by Justice of the Peace Robert Brown, who held him for the Dallas county sheriff. |
According to Bryson, he shot his stepfather in self defense, after attempting to stop a quarrel between his mother and Williams. |
Williams and his stepson had been running a boarding house at Zook Spur. |
