Mailing Lists

The mailing lists for RootsWeb were discontinued in March 2020.  They have indicated that the archives will be available but their website says the archives are not fully searchable due to some issues they are having.  It's my understanding that Ancestry.com has some forums or message boards you can utilize.

In the "olden days" we had to send written queries into gene societies and other genealogical publications hoping to find a match.  Then, with email, came the mailing lists which made things a bit easier. Now we must take advantage of the IAGenWeb Queries message board, Ancestry.com, FaceBook, and other sites on the internet.
