"Wood" -- We again request those subscribers who have promised to pay their subscription in wood, that now is the accepted time. Our pile has grown small and our neighbor keeps a big dog.

Died: In Liberty Twp. on the 16th inst., of Typhoid Fever, Martin C. Phillips, aged 29 years. Funeral service at Wheatland 11 o'clock on Friday the 19th.

Schyricker's new store finished; Bennett & Haight's nearly finished
E. Covey sold his interest in Wheatland Wagon Manufactory to Mr. Churchill
J. D. Fegan had a radish that weighed 7 lbs.
Republican Convention at DeWitt; nominated: Loring Wheeler for Clerk of District Court and Isaac Baldwin Supt. of Common Schools
