City Auditor Forbes reported the following deaths to the county clerk
for August. It will be noticed that several of the deaths reported
occurred in July, while three or four were outside of the city, the
bodies being brought here for burial. The mortality among children
was unusually large in August by reason of which the death rate shows a
large increase over the preceding month of July, and exceeds the number
reported in August, 1892, by about twenty-one:
