1. Call by number only, or you may not get attention as our operators have no time to hunt up numbers for you.
2. Give ONE LONG RING for Monona Central and TWO SHORT and ONE LONG for Luana Central.  General ring on the line ONE LONG RING.
3. The ring numbers as given in this directory are designed as follows:  1,2,3,4 and 5 represent SHORT RINGS, the number of short rings to correspond with figures.  Figure 6 represents ONE LONG RING.  Figure 7 represents TWO LONG RINGS. Figure 8 represents THREE LONG RINGS.  For example: 6,1,6 is LSL; 7,1,6 is LLSL; 8, 1 is LLLS.
4. Do not try to enter into conversation with operators, they are instructed to tell you why they are busy:  others are waiting.
5. The Luana-Monona Farmers Telephone Co. assumes no liability whatever for damage from error in making this directory.
