each fined $100. and costs in mayor's court here
Wednesday. The charge was disorderly conduct and
resisting an officer. ~Clayton County Register, 12 Jan. 1950. Strawberry Point column. ----- Mabel Barnett of near Elgin pleaded guilty March 20 before Judge T. H. Goheen to the crime of a lascivious act with a minor. She was sentenced to the women's reformatory at Rockwell City for a period not to exceed three years, and paroled to the state board of parole during good behavior. ~Clayton County Register, 23 Mar. 1950. ----- Orville Dittman, 14, and Donald Jakubeck, 15, of Milwaukee, were apprehended at Postville driving a stolen vehicle from the A. T. Huinker garage parking lot at Monona. The youths were charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, appeared before juvenile court and later at a hearing before Judge T. H. Goheen. The youths were placed in the custody of Parole Officer Geo. C. Murray, then released to their parents to be on parole in Milwaukee. ~Clayton County Register, 27 Apr. 1950. ----- Clarence Tucker, 20, was arrested by the highway patrol at Strawberry Point, Saturday night, July 08, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated while his license was suspended. Tucker was fined $50 and costs in Clayton county court Monday. ~Clayton County Register, 20 July 1950. ----- Irvin Handke, Guttenberg, was fined $300 and costs in district court Tuesday, July 26, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. His driver's license was suspended for a 60 day period. ~Clayton County Register, 27 July 1950 ----- Reuben Laurence Schupbach, Elgin, was fined $300 and costs in district court Sept. 05, for driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Schupbach's driver's license was suspended for a period of 60 days and his liquor book taken away. Judge W. H. Antes presided. ~Clayton County Register, 07 Sept. 1950. ----- Lee Knickerbocker, McGregor, was sentenced to 90 days in the county jail after he pleaded guilty Oct. 02 to driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated last Friday night, Sept. 29. The car Knickerbocker was driving that night crashed head on into another car driven by Dan Coffman, Garnavillo, on highway 13 one and one-half mile west of McGregor. Knickerbocker and Mr. Coffman received minor injuries, and Mrs. Coffman suffered chest injuries and facial cuts. Knickerbocker had no drivers license and the judge recommended that he not be issued one for a year. ~~Clayton County Register, 12 Oct. 1950. ----- A McGregor man, Dural Dolphin Weaver, was fined $300. and costs in court last Monday, Nov. 13, following his arrest Nov. 12 for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Elmer W. Landt, Luana, was fined $500. last Thursday, Nov. 09, for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Landt's driver's license was also suspended for a six month's period. ~Clayton County Register, 16 Nov. 1950. ----- Two men from Kenosha, Wis., Albert Anderson and Harlan Little were sentenced last week to 30 days in the county jail, following their arrest for driving away from a gas station in Guttenberg without paying their bill. Gilbert Leander Lansing, North Buena Vista, was arrested Dec. 05 for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was sentenced Dec. 11 to five months in the county jail and his driver's license was suspended for a period of six months. It was Lansing's second offense. ~Clayton County Register, 14 Dec. 1950 ----- Richard Allen Hinsenbrock, Guttenberg, was fined $300. and costs and his driver's license suspended Dec. 03 for driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Hinsenbrock was arrested by Clarence Kann, peace officer in Guttenberg. ~Clayton County Register, 21 Dec. 1950 |
