Alf. O. Hunt, dentist, McGregor,
Iowa, was born in Utica, N.Y., Feb. 27, 1844. When
seventeen years of age he commenced the study of
dentistry with Dr. H. R. White, remaining with him for
three years. In 1864 he came to McGregor and engaged in
the practice of his profession, in which he has been very
successful. He is a member of the Iowa State Dental
Society, and has been one of its active members since its
organization. In 1880 he was elected Vice- President, and
in May, 1882, was elected President. He has accepted a
professorship in the Iowa State University. In 1868 he
married Maria Church, a daughter of M. G. Church. She was
