| "My husband came
across a photo at his parents house and is now in our
possesion. The photo is in very good condition but the
mounting board has some damage. The title on the
photograph is "Garnavillo Cornet Band", Turner
Park, July 4, 1901. It lists the names of the
individuals in the photograph as Henry Limbach, F.J.
Smith, W. Wagner, Cora Hudson, C.H. Rantzow, R.O.
Schumacher, O.H. Roebken, Clara Roebken, Fred Ficker,
L.H. Oelfke. It also lists the instrument/or
singing position under each name. There is the name (the
photographer I am assuming)of Peick, McGregor,IA.
We don't know who this picture belonged to in our family
of if any of the pictured individuals were relatives but
we are quite taken with the picture all the same!" Donna Ramsey |
