Anton Kafer, a farmer, did business at
Anton Beuchel's carriage and blacksmith shop in
Littleport. Katherine's sister, Regina, was the wife of
Anton Beuchel. On July 10, 1881 of the year after they
met, Anton & Katherine were married the old Sts.
Peter & Paul Catholic church in Petersburg, Delaware
co.Iowa. Note: Sts. Peter and Paul parish was organized at Petersburg and in 1874 the first church building was dedicated & erected. In 1905 a new church was built, replacing the original building. ~History of Delaware Co. Iowa, Vol I, 1914 |

Tracy (Kafer) Madden (see their photos above) Leona married Martin Wiley in Littleport on September 20, 1921. They had five children: Cletus M. (1922-1991), Gerald Janarius (1923-1963), Irene Rosella (1929-2000), Marian K. (1929-1990) and Kenneth Paul (1933-1980). |
