Willie Edgington visited relatives south of Osceola the last of the week...Win Barnard went to Osceola Saturday...Mrs. T. E. Barnard visited at Osceola from Wednesday till Saturday...Miss Olive Sheldon returned to her home at Kellerton the last of the week...H. C. Myer, of Chariton is visiting his father, John Myer...Mrs. Etta Siefkas, of Lacelle, came Monday, being called by the sickness and death of her sister, Mrs. Myers...Mrs Maytum and Mrs. Uriah Williams returned Monday from their visit at Indianola...Wm. Shinn's daughter, Cora of Nebraska, is here visiting...Mrs. Troy Stansbury is visiting at Henry Frederick's and other relatives...Mrs. Mary Myer was born in Germany in 1843, and departed this life at 8 o'clock p.m. January 21, 1904, aged sixty-one years. The deceased was married three times. Mrs. Myer leaves three children, two sons, Remmer Dieckmann of Pekin, Ill. and John Dieckmann of this place and her daughter, Marie Thompson, a school teacher in Missouri. Mrs. Myer was married to John Myer, October 22, 1897, who survives her. The deceased has a sister and brother living at Lacelle. In her last sickness she suffered much. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wyman Folger assisted by Rev. Carson. The remains were laid to rest in the Jamison cemetery.

Mrs. Miller is visiting her son, Oliver, at Afton. While there she was taken quite sick but is better now. Her son, Vinton, went to see her...W. D. Green is able to be around again...Nina and Hazel Barnard visited their grandparents, Jas. Welch and wife, over Sunday...Mrs. Wesley Wharff and Mrs. Doc Jukkin are on the sick list...Ruby Trumbo's school closed last Friday...H. C. Myer returned to his home in Chariton Monday...John Chumbley spent Sunday at home...Meeting is in progress at the M. E. church. All are cordially invited to attend.

J. S. Hamilton came home Tuesday from Chicago where he went with stock...Julia Casey was home over Sunday...Joe Hamilton of Osceola, is staying at his brother's Jesse...V. Harlan was in Jamison Monday.

Barnard's Thursday...Rev. Wilkins, of Grand River visited reatives here part of last week en route home from Des Mones. Rev. Carson returned from Des Moines Saturday...Wesley Wharff is better at this writing...Mrs. Moin's prents have returned to their home at Andover, Mo...Tom Bramer is moving here from Missouri...Mrs. Cetta Trumbo and daugher, Avas and Mrs. Cora Frederick and son, Pearl, left for Lamoni Saturday to visit friends...Miss Maggie Stacy arrived home from Omaha, Monday...Mrs. George Jenkins of Osceola came out Tuesday to visit her parents, who are quite porly. Williams' Tuesday...There will be a W.C.T.U. lecture at Jamison M. E. church Monday and Tuesday evenings of next week. M. Stacy; assistant, Sallie Edgington; organist, Mrs. Williamson; assistant, Floy Cellman; librarian, Lester Zepp; choirsters, Mabel Zepp and Mrs. Hester Taylor...Mrs. Will Stacy is on the sick list...Mrs. Byers is no better at this writing.

Wells over Sunday...Mr. Boulware, an insurance agent of Osceola, was in our berg Tuesday on business...William Fry arrived home from the west last week where he has been spending the winter with his daughter Fannie...Preaching Sunday at 11 a.m. by Rev. J. F. Carson...A W.C.T.U. society was organized here last week. The members are Mrs. Maude Carson, Mrs. Effie Moines, Hester Taylor, Sallie Edgington, Mrs. Nora Dorf, Mrs. J. F. S. Hamilton were at Osceola Friday...Mary Edgington and Hattie Taylor visited Mrs. Nicholson last Saturday afternoon and it is well said of her, "She is a lover of flowers."

A party of about twenty-five young people spent the evening very pleasantly at the home of Mrs. Bob Leggitts last Thursday evening...Mrs. Josie Dukes and daughter, Marie, were Osceola visitors Saturday...Mrs. James Green, of Indianola, visited over Sunday with friends and relatives...Mable Leggitt, of Osceola, is visiting at her uncle's, Jas. Brimm this week. Mrs. Barbara Maytum went to New Virginia Monday...J. F. Wells and wife returned home Tuesday evening after their ten days' visit...Miss Linnie Harlan, of Osceola, came out home Tuesday evening...Fred Miller, of Osceola, visited his sister, Mrs Fred Clay, this week.
