Above, Ira Morgan Day, during the Spanish American War. Ira served in two wars: 1) Spanish American War: Enlisted June 14, 1898; Discharged January 14, 1899 at San Francisco, California. 2) World War I: Enlisted for service with Unit K of the hospital corps, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Spent sixteen months in France.
