Cliff was born in Yankton, SD, shortly before his family moved to Sioux City. He attended Bishop Heelan Catholic High School and enlisted in the US NAVY in his Junior year. After graduating in 1967, he was assigned to Mobile Riverine Force (MRF) in the rivers of South Viet Nam, Brown Water Navy. Cliff served his country in the Mekong Delta with honor and distinction during the Vietnam War; in 1969, he was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in battle and later served 39 dedicated years with the US Postal Service.
This special man, a cherished husband, dad, son, brother, grandpa and uncle, will be deeply missed. Cliff leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Amy Otis Fejfar, his son, Mark Fejfar, (Donna McCool, Cliff's former wife) and his stepdaughter, Christine Poulignot; his siblings, Carol Williams (Doug), Ruth McKechnie Fejfar (Charles, deceased), Cathy Bonowski (Kelly), and Craig Fejfar (Teri); 4 grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews; and countless friends and acquaintances, especially those he knew through his many years of dedicated service to veteran organizations.
Cliff was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Luken Fejfar; father, Raymond Fejfar; brother, Charles Fejfar, and newborn son, Christopher Fejfar. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Vietnam Veterans of America 1071, Lakewood Elks 1777 or Rocky Mountain Honor Flight.
