Mrs. J. Snyder and son Lawrence arrived Monday from Mankato, Minn., where they were called on account of the death of the former’s mother, Mrs. Samuel Glenn, who passed away on Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Russ Burr.

OBITUARY.
MRS. GLEN{N}.
Martha Hislop was born in Gervin, Scotland, on Feb. 1, 1837. Her childhood days were spent in her native land and she was married there on Dec. 31, 1859, to Samuel Glenn.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn came to America in 1867, and for three years they lived at Newark, New Jersey. In 1871 they moved to Decorah and this has been their home since that time.
Eleven children were born to this union, four dying in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. L. E. Gossman dying in 1909. The surviving children are Mrs. Russ Burr Orleans township, Sam Glenn in Montana, Wm. Glenn, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Agnes Snider, Preston, Minn., Mrs. Belle Snider, Mankato; Mrs. Maude Foote, Hutchinson, Kan., and a brother, George Hislop of Decorah.
Mrs. Glenn died at the home of her daughter in Cresco, Mrs. Burr, and the remains were brought from Orleans township on Tuesday and the funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the Episcopal church with Rev. McVettie officiating. Interment was made In the Phelps cemetery.
Mrs. Glenn was a woman well thought of in Decorah, general and kindly, and one who made a good neighbor. She will be missed by many friends.
