Frankville Pioneer at Rest.
The funeral of Mrs. Elling O. Ramsey, whose death occurred on Tuesday of last week, was held Friday last at the Washington Prairie church, Rev. Paul Koren officiating. Mrs. Ramsey came to Winneshiek county in 1852 and for over sixty years has resided in Frankville township. The same year her marriage occurred. She is survived by six children:--Mrs. Lewis Arness of Frankville township, Mrs. Henry Ness of Decorah, Mrs. Henry Prastmark of Detroit, Minn., Nels Ramsey of Washington Prairie, Peter, who lives on the homestead, and William of Decorah. At the time of her death Mrs. Ramsey had attained the ripe old age of eighty-five years.

Transcriber’s Note: Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery records show this was Aase Ramsey. She was born Dec. 10, 1829 and died May 19, 1914.
