OBITUARY.
The remains of Levi L. Hurd, a former Decorian, were brought here for burial Tuesday evening. The deceased was born May 2, 1842, in Ohio, coming west in 1858 and stopping for a short time at Strawberry Point, thence to Decorah where he resided until nine years ago when he joined his children in Minneapolis. He was married at Elliott, Minn., fifty-one years ago, his wife dying Feb. 27, 1893. Of eight children five survive. The deceased has been in failing health for a year and death claimed him on May 2d. The remains were accompanied by his son I. W. Hurd and daughters Mrs. W. Reynolds and Mrs. M. Francis, and interment was made in Phelps cemetery.
