Barbara Gertrude (Nilles) Fetrow, 97, of Duncombe, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Crestview Manor in Webster City. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Duncombe, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m., vigil at 7 p.m.

Barbara was born September 2, 1910 to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Thielen) Nilles in rural Duncombe. She attended country school in the area.

In 1934 she married Kenneth Fetrow. They farmed in the Duncombe area. Mr. Fetrow died in 1976.

Barbara was the youngest of four brothers and nine sisters: Bill, Susan, Charlie, Kathleen, Clara, Gertrude, Matt, Lena, Mary, Anne, Margaret, Elizabeth and Joe, all of whom are deceased. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the St. Joseph's Altar Society, a quilting group and greatly enjoyed card playing.
