Royce Ford, 87, of Silver Creek, NE died Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his home in Silver Creek.

Services were held at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek.

Royce Max Ford was born February 17, 1930 in Lehigh, Iowa to James L. and Viola Mae (Curtis) Ford. He attended schools in Lehigh before entering into the US Army. He served from 1951 until 1953 where he was stationed in Germany. Royce was united in marriage to Betty Weber. They had one daughter, Elisabeth. Royce worked for MFS York in Webster City, IA before being transferred to Grand Island, NE until retirement. Royce later married Dorothy Legband on February 18, 1989 at the United Methodist Church in Silver Creek. He was a member of the Silver Creek American Legion. Royce was an avid NASCAR and country music fan.

Royce is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ford of Silver Creek; daughter Lisa (Jeff) Byal of Louisville, KY; 2 grandsons Brendan and Curtis Byal; brother Ronald Elliott of Webster City, IA; step son Dan Legband of San Bernadino, CA; step daughter Judy (Mark) Westerhold of Cody, WY; and 12 step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
