Thomas “T-Bone” Guffey-Rammelsberg, age 47, of Washington, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 12, 2021, from injuries suffered in a work accident.
Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Meader officiating. Calling hours will begin 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening. Private family interment will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. A general memorial has been established. Tom was born January 13, 1974, in Spokane, Washington, the son of Ralph Rammelsberg and Mary Jo Guffey. After moving to Washington, Iowa, in 1987, Tom attended Washington Community Schools graduating from Washington High School in 1992.
He worked for many years as a self employed drywall contractor and later worked in the Maintenance Department at Pearl Valley Nursing and Rehab. He was currently working as a groundskeeper at the Riverside Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa.
Tom enjoyed working on cars, constructing things, mowing, playing games and card games with his family, singing karaoke, and cookouts. He was a Star Wars collector and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was also a NASCAR fan and followed the NAPA number 9 car. In his earlier years he was a member of a CB Radio group, where his CB handle was “T-Bone”. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially the time building Legos and playing video games. He enjoyed constructing custom made Thomas the Train toys and tracks with his youngest son. He enjoyed seeing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Jonathon Lee Thrailkill of Green Ridge, MO; son, Thomas Guffey-Rammelsberg II; son, Tyler Williams; son, Harold Gene Guffey-Rammelsberg; daughter, Vicktoria Entsminger; son, Kyle Dean Entsminger; daughter, Kali McDole; son, Matthew Wolf and son Jayden Wolf all of Washington, IA; six grandchildren; father, Ralph Rammelsberg of Keota, IA; sister, Connie Schmidt and husband Adam of Waseca, MN; niece, Yara Schmidt and fiancé Edwin Barcenas currently stationed in Japan; nephews, Joseph and River Schmidt of Waseca, MN; and longtime girlfriend, Karie Wolf of Washington, IA.
Tom was preceded in death by his mom, Mary Jo LeCompte; grandparents, Henry and Oreene Hamilton; and great grandmother, Anna Trojovsky.
